Cardio - Thoracic Surgery
Apollo has one of the very few specialized Cardio Thoracic units
in India. The Cardio-Thoracic surgical team has performed many complicated
procedures including heart transplants, repair of congenital heart
defects in infants and coronary bypass surgeries in octogenarians.
An astounding 99% success rate is the enviable record of this department.
Over 30,000 heart surgeries and over 50, 000 cardiac catheterization
procedures have been performed. Mammary Artery Coronary Artery By-pass
surgeries and Redo-By-pass surgeries are being routinely carried
out.
The Vascular Surgery department is specially dedicated
to tackle cases of Aneurysms, Arterial blocks, Peripheral Vascular
blocks and other such complications.
